Particularly after an Instagram post regarding his own worth, it was clear Sead Haksabanovic wasn’t in the plans of Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers for this season. As a result, he was sent out on loan to Stoke City.
There, he has scored just once in eight appearances. His manager, though, has recently praised him.
Alex Neil is the gaffer at the bet365 Stadium. He said (Daily Record): “Technically, he’s excellent. He can come in and roll off that left-hand side onto his right foot, he can stand full-backs up and get at them. We haven’t seen it yet but I see it every day in training, he’s an unbelievable finisher and he gets into good areas.”

When he was getting games for Celtic, it was evident there was a player in Haksabanovic. His attitude, though, wasn’t the greatest.
The 24-year-old did face competition for places from the likes of Jota, Liel Abada, and Daizen Maeda but when he got opportunities, he was somewhat inconsistent.
He has been handed a fresh start at Stoke and throughout the season, will be eager to show his value. Particularly with the rises of Liam Scales and Anthony Ralston in recent years, one’s future should never be ruled out at Parkhead. The same applies to Haksabanovic.
