Sead Haksabanovic has finalised his move away from Celtic, joining Stoke City on a season-long loan.

The transfer was confirmed as the deadline struck, with the Montenegrin international turning down an offer from Greek side PAOK, despite their involvement in European football.
The decision to join Stoke City, a midtable Championship side, may raise some eyebrows. However, Haksabanovic might see this as an opportunity for more regular playing time to kickstart his career, which had stalled at Celtic.

PAOK had been considering a permanent move for the winger, who was initially brought to Celtic by former manager Ange Postecoglou last summer. However, those plans never materialised. Celtic would’ve recouped the fee they spent on the player.
Current Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers disclosed that he had spoken with Haksabanovic after the player expressed his dissatisfaction on social media. Rodgers, who had always treated the winger with respect according to his own account, said he was surprised by the player’s online outburst. [Celtic TV]
