Scottish Media Get Caught Out by Celtic

CELTIC left it very late to get their first-half goal, with the penalty awarded late into injury time.

Some media sites, including the Daily Record and Football Scotland, got a little bit too excited, putting their match updates up prematurely.

The accounts both had the halftime result at 0-0, which was inaccurate, with Jota getting Celtic the lead in the fifth minute of added time in the first half.

Have they not listened to Ange? We never stop!

There was a bit of a delay with a VAR check, which concluded that the Ross County defender had handled the ball.

Jota made no mistake, striking the ball powerfully into the back of the net, leaving the keeper with no chance.

It’s the second penalty Jota has scored this year; this one against Ross County was a lot more convincing than his previous one, it has to be said.

It wasn’t the prettiest game for the Hoops, with some really, really slack passing which invited pressure onto them. The main thing is that Celtic picked up the three points, keeping their nine-point lead in tact with just eight games to go.
