Scotland had gone 22 years without qualifying for a major tournament until this week and there’s been a feel good factor around the country since but the benefits of making it to the Euro’s doesn’t stop there.
It has been revealed the SFA will receive a cash injection of £8.3m for next summers tournament and the team would earn £1.1m for a win and £700k for a draw when the tournament gets going in June.
The SFA will receive £8.3m just for Scotland competing at Euro 2020.
A group stage win earns an extra £1.1m and you get £700k for a draw.
If they make it out of the group it's an extra £1.8m.
£30m is the maximum a team can make from the tournament (win all games and Euros!).

The cash coming in is a major boost for Scottish football, who can now take this money and invest it into our game. They can also stave off redundancies for some staff in the organisation.
We’ve gone a lot of years without relying on that cash but it couldn’t come at a better time, when everyone is tightening their belts, the SFA now have the opportunity to help out our game and invest it in grassroots so the national team, as well as the clubs, can benefit.
