Scottish Cup draw; everything you need to know as Celtic enter the pot

The Scottish Cup fourth-round draw, which includes Scottish Premiership teams like Celtic, the current holders, is set to take place on Sunday’s edition of Sportscene on BBC Scotland.

The draw will take place from 19.15 on Sunday evening, with Sportscene presenter Jonathan Sutherland conducting the draw, along with Craig Conway and Danny Swanson, 2010 cup winners with Dundee United.

Celtic are looking to defend the cup, having won five out of the last seven.

However, there’s a significant concern for Celtic regarding player availability due to the Asian Cup. Many of Celtic’s key players from Asian nations are expected to participate in the tournament, potentially affecting the team’s strength for the Scottish Cup matches. The fourth-round games are scheduled for the weekend of January 20, a time when these players will likely be away for the Asian Cup.

The situation could become more challenging if Celtic progresses to the fifth round, scheduled for February 10th, coinciding with the day of the Asian Cup Final. If teams like South Korea and Japan advance far in the Asian Cup, these players could still be unavailable or not fully fit for the fifth-round Scottish Cup games.
