Former Celtic favourite Scott Sinclair has responded warmly after hearing his name echoed around Celtic Park during Wednesday night’s match against Dundee United.
Fans cheekily chanted songs dedicated to numerous ex-Celtic players in response to manager Brendan Rodgers’ recent comments about chanting for Kieran Tierney, with Sinclair among those serenaded.
The winger, now playing for Bristol Rovers, reposted a fan’s Instagram story featuring the chant to his followers, marking his clear appreciation for the continued affection from the Parkhead fans.
The Green Brigade’s reaction to Rodgers’ critique of Sunday’s chants for Tierney was good-natured, with the group leading the crowd in renditions of songs for various former Hoops stars, including Sinclair, Moussa Dembélé, and Stuart Armstrong, among others.
Scott Sinclair posted on his Instagram story:

The playful protest culminated in a rendition of the Tierney chant late in the game, showcasing the fans’ sense of humour and connection to their former heroes.
Sinclair, who made his 600th career appearance at the weekend, remains a beloved figure among Celtic supporters. The Englishman played a pivotal role during a highly successful spell at the club, scoring 62 goals in 167 appearances and collecting numerous trophies.
His song was a belter and it was great to hear that being sung from the terraces at the weekend.
