Scott Brown is yet to be contacted by Celtic about a potential sensational return under Brendan Rodgers.

According to Football Scotland, despite interest from higher-ups in the club, no formal discussions have taken place regarding Brown’s return to Glasgow, where he spent 14 years.
Speculation about Brown’s return began after reports emerged suggesting that majority shareholder Dermot Desmond is hopeful of enticing Rodgers back to Celtic to replace Ange Postecoglou.
The reports also suggested that Rodgers might attempt to bring back Brown to be his right-hand man, especially if current assistant manager John Kennedy joins Tottenham Hotspur.
However, it’s understood that neither Celtic nor Rodgers has reached out to Brown, who is currently enjoying his role at Fleetwood in England’s League One.
While a return to Celtic might be an interesting proposition, the club is still hoping to retain Kennedy, which could potentially derail any move for Brown.
Rodgers, who won seven trophies during his previous stint as Celtic manager, is reportedly set to have face-to-face talks with Desmond this week. The billionaire flew into London earlier today, further fueling the speculation about Rodgers’ potential return.
As the situation unfolds, fans will be eagerly waiting to see if Rodgers makes a comeback to Celtic and whether this could pave the way for Brown’s return. However, for now, it seems that Brown’s Celtic return is on hold as Rodgers weighs up his options.
