Scott Brown is closing in on a deal to sign Celtic starlet Lenny Agbaire on loan for Ayr United, according to The Scottish Sun.
The former Hoops captain is in charge at Somerset Park and needs some added depth at the centre of defence as The Honest Men gear up for a promotion push in the second half of the season.

Teenage centre-half Agbaire, who has been a regular for Celtic’s B side this season, is close to joining Ayr on loan until the end of the campaign.
It will be the 19-year-old’s first taste of senior football, having been involved in the Hoops’ youth teams for the past few seasons.
He has been deemed good enough to now go and get senior minutes after making 26 appearances for the B team across the Lowland League, SPFL Trust Trophy, and UEFA Youth League in the opening half of 2024/25.
He will now join Ayr, who are currently second in the Scottish Championship table, four points behind league leaders Falkirk, who have a game in hand.
It looks like they will at least secure a promotion playoff as they look to make it into the top flight for the first time since 1978. Brown and Co. would be doing quite the job if they were to help the club reach the promised land.
