Scott Brown’s reputation for quick wit and cool comebacks has once again come to the fore, as revealed by Scottish football pundit Tam Cowan during his radio show.
Hosting a football night in Airdrie, Cowan had the pleasure of sharing the stage with both the Celtic legend and former Rangers boss Graeme Souness. Given the venue, Cowan conceded that Rangers fans outnumbered the Celtic faithful in the audience, setting the scene for a bit of playful banter.
As the night progressed and the floor opened for audience questions, a cheeky Rangers fan decided to take a dig at Brown, asking him if he had gone to Turkey for his teeth—a common jibe referencing the cosmetic surgery destination.
However, Brown, known for his sharp tongue, wasn’t fazed. In typical fashion, he fired back instantly, “No, I just brush them, you should try it some time.” Tam Cowan, recounting the moment on air, was in stitches, highlighting just how brilliant the former Celtic captain’s response was.

It’s a perfect example of why Brown is such a loved figure among the Celtic support. Never one to shy away from a bit of banter, especially when it’s at the expense of Rangers fans, Broony’s quick thinking continues to add to his legendary status off the pitch.
Scott is currently the manager of Ayr Utd in the Scottish Championship. He knocked back the chance to take the St Johnstone job last week to focus on Ayr and their efforts for promotion.
