SCOTT BROWN has hailed a great performance by the team on Wednesday night to ensure they went six points clear in the SPFL.

Celtic have had a game in hand over the chasing pack because of their participation in the Betfred League Cup Final, and they finally made it count last night with two outstanding goals from Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie.

Scott Brown looked back to his best, bossing the midfield and playing some very lovely passes through to the attackers. However, his aim for goal is still very much Sebo-esque.

Scott Brown has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season. Yesterday, however, noises from the Western Melbourne camp suggested the player was set to sign a new deal with Celtic.

It does indeed look like the Celtic captain will continue with the club beyond this season.
