Scott Brown has taken a funny dig at his old Celtic teammate Fraser Forster after Tottenham won the Europa League last night.
Forster, now a back-up keeper at Spurs, added another medal to his collection after his side beat Manchester United 1-0 in the final on Wednesday night. Forster had played his part in Spurs’ Europa League win, featuring in the full 90 minutes against Rangers at Ibrox in December and pulling off a sensational late save to secure a 1-1 draw.
The pair know each other well from their time at Celtic. Forster had a number of spells at the Hoops. During that time, he won seven trophies: four league titles, two Scottish Cups and one League Cup.
One of his best performances came in the 2019 League Cup Final, when he made several big saves, including a penalty, to help Celtic beat Rangers 1-0. Brown was the captain that day and led the team through many successful seasons.
