CELTIC legend Scott Brown is reportedly considering a stunning retirement U-turn by potentially returning as a player to the Scottish Professional Football League.

The former Scotland captain has been linked with the St Johnstone managerial job but is reportedly training with Scottish League Two side Spartans FC. [The Scotsman]
After retiring as a player and taking up a managerial role at Fleetwood Town in English League One, Brown is currently without a club following his departure from Fleetwood in September.
He’s not played a professional match in over 18 months.
Brown’s son is part of the Spartans’ youth team, and he’s said to be seriously contemplating a playing return, although his primary goal remains to pursue a successful managerial career.
It certainly would be a sensational return if Brown was to pick up his boots again and return to the field.
He’s clearly been looking after himself and did play in the David Gray Testimonial a few weeks back. Although, it would be a big step up to the physically challenging League 2.
