Scott Brown has taken to social media to explain his Aberdeen departure and what’s next for him.
The Celtic legend ended a seven month run at the Dons after Stephen Glass was sacked and Jim Goodwin was installed as the new gaffer.
Scott was not going to be allowed to coach the team like agreed in his deal and his playing time would be limited under Jim. It became clear Scott had to leave.
Aberdeen posted that Broony would be leaving the club to pursue coaching opportunities – which suggested he was retiring from playing.
However, there’s no mention of retirement in Brown’s explanation on Friday morning.

Instead, he said he’ll be sitting tight and deciding what’s best for him in due course.
He will have offers in the summer – both from a playing stand point and coaching roles.
It’s clear Brown puts a lot of stock in being allowed to coach and grow in a backroom role so the smart money will be on that.
