Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain became a Father recently. The 31-year-old revealed the birth of his baby boy Harris on Instagram.
Born on the 19th of October, Harris was named after the Scottish Isle. To the birth of Bain’s first Son, many of his teammates and ex-teammates reacted.
His goalkeeping colleague Joe Hart said ‘Yeeeaaa baby’, meanwhile Giorgos Giakoumakis quipped ‘Congratulations my friend’. Scott Brown commented ‘Congrats my man’, and Mika Lustig said ‘congrats to you both’.
Activity such as this is great to see. Bain himself will undoubtedly be buzzing, and young Harris will be in safe hands.
His Dad, though, only has just over six months remaining on his current Celtic deal. Bain could talk to other clubs in January about a pre-contract agreement.
Brendan Rodgers has commented in the past that he is a fantastic understudy, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will be in green and white come the summer.
