Scotland’s Opponents Train at Lennoxtown After Nations League Win

The Poland national team have been training at Celtic’s Lennoxtown facility following their 3-2 win over Scotland on Thursday night.

Despite a rallying comeback which involved an Anthony Ralston assist, Steve Clarke’s men were undone by a late Nicola Zalewski penalty.

The Poles stole the three points at the death, and in the days following their impressive UEFA Nations League triumph, they have been at Lennoxtown.

Indeed, Celtic granted permission to Robert Lewandoski and Co. to come to the north side of Glasgow and prepare for their upcoming game against Croatia:

After a few days of training at the home of the Scottish champions, the Poles then flew out to Osijek for tonight’s match.

While they face the Croats, Ralston and Scotland head to Portugal.

Celtic fans will nervously watch on, hoping the right-back comes away unscathed fitness-wise after Alistair Johnston pulled up for Canada last night.

He had to be withdrawn just before the half-hour mark in a concerning sight.

The extent of his issue remains to be seen, but Brendan Rodgers will be hoping it isn’t too bad, considering the Champions League kicks off in a week and a half.

The Hoops host Slovan Bratislava on matchday one as they aim to kickstart their league phase campaign.
