Gordon Strachan has picked his Scotland squad for September ties against Georgia and Germany and there is good news for 6 Celtic Players.
Craig Gordon, Charlie Mulgrew, Stuart Armstrong, Scott Brown, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths have all been given call-ups for this pivotal double header.
However there’s room for GMS who wont follow those 6 lads to the Scotland camp. The midfielder has been performing well for Celtic but is not a permanent fixture in the first XI and Strachan has opted to put others ahead of him.
The former Celtic gaffer will be hopeful that James Forrest can emulate his last two Celtic performances in a Scotland jersey with the player exploding out of his mediocre slump in the past couple of weeks.
Leigh Griffiths has impressed the Scotland manager by dragging himself back into contention at Celtic to becoming the first choice striker. After being on the fringes last season, Strachan has nothing but praise for the player who can’t stop scoring lately.
