The Hoops have two rescheduled fixtures and are set to make their first appearance of the season on Premier Sports.

Celtic’s game against St Johnstone in Perth has been moved to a 5:45 PM kick-off on Saturday, September 28th, and will be shown on Premier Sports. Additionally, their match against Ross County in Dingwall will take place on Sunday, October 6th at 12 noon, with live coverage on Sky Sports.

Premier Sports Debut

Coming into the season, it was announced that the SPFL has entered a broadcasting agreement with Premier Sports, securing a five-year deal to show 20 live Premiership games each season. This announcement came on the heels of an extended contract with Sky Sports, which allows Sky to broadcast up to 60 live Premiership matches per season.

Under the terms of the new deal, Premier Sports will provide live coverage of 20 Premiership matches annually throughout the UK and Ireland. This expansion in broadcast coverage was finalised after a bidding process that saw multiple parties showing interest in acquiring the rights. This arrangement marks an effort by the SPFL to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Scottish football, ensuring fans have more opportunities to watch their teams compete at the highest level.
