Celtic lost out by two goals to nil at home to Hearts on Saturday. It was a shocking defeat that sent a huge wake-up call to those within the club.
Towards the end of the match, what was particularly of note was the ‘sack the board’ chants that rang around the stadium. As the home fans realised their team were going to fall to defeat, they voiced their frustrations.

The chants started off in the North Curve but they eventually spread round the stadium. Before one knew it, the whole of Parkhead seemed to be loudly in unison.
If those at the top weren’t aware about the fans’ frustrations, they certainly will be now.
To add to the hostility, the team were booed off at both half-time and full-time. Jeers rang round the stadium at both junctures in which the Hoops went off two goals behind.
Over the next week, the fallout from today’s defeat will continually unfold. One thing is for sure, though, and that is that Celtic are in a worrying position.
