Celtic midfielder is reportedly being lined up for a move to English Premier League side Southampton at a cut-price.
According to Sun Sport, the Saints will be keeping a close eye on the Scotland international whilst out with the national side at the European Championships this summer.
With Christie’s contract situation and his deal at the club reportedly coming to an end in December, they are looking at making a deal at a cut-price and take advantage of this.
Southampton has made some great moves for Hoops players in the past, picking up the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama and Stuart Armstrong.
The 26-year old has come under a lot of criticism this season with some of his performances in the side.
With the up-and-coming rebuild this summer, it would probably be preferred for whoever the new manager is to get a look at the squad and decide if he wants to keep Christie or can convince him to stay.
However, at this stage, it looks unlikely that the attacking midfielder will stay longer than the summer.
