Roy Keane has dismissed the idea that Rangers are the front-runners for the Scottish Premiership title after their dramatic draw with Celtic at Ibrox.

During a discussion on Sky Sports before the Manchester United vs Liverpool match, Keane offered his insights into the title race’s dynamics following the match.
Celtic led the hosts 2-0 at the break, before finding themselves level. As the game headed into injury time, Celtic were 3-2 up, but a wonderful strike from Matondo saw the points shared. Despite this comeback, Keane emphasised that the title race remains wide open.
“It was a really good game. Good pace to it and some good goals. Good spirit among both sets of players and managers. So, really good game,” Keane commented on Sky Sports.
When asked if the momentum had shifted in Rangers’ favour, Keane provided a balanced perspective: “I’m not sure. I think [Rangers] will be delighted with the draw – to get such a late equaliser – but there’s still a game to go at Celtic Park so I’d still say maybe 50/50.”
Celtic are unbeaten in the derbies this season and have only dropped points once, so they will, of course, fancy their chances in the post-split derby.
The league is in Celtic’s hands, win their games and they win the league, it’s really as simple as that. The point on Sunday suits Celtic more than it does for Rangers.
