Celtic lost out by two goals to one in Ayrshire on Sunday afternoon. It was a damning defeat for Brendan Rodgers’ side who couldn’t get a foothold on things in the second half.
In the first forty-five, the Hoops dominated but didn’t take their chances. This eventually cost them in the end.
Post-match, manager Brendan Rodgers spoke out. He was unsurprisingly asked about the January transfer window, and he said (Sky Sports): “Hopefully we get some more players back. We’re working with the players we have now. We have to be better.”

Granted there are numerous first-team players out injured, but the Celts still have to be better.
The team showed no sense of fight or desire in the second half this afternoon which was a colossal worry, as is the fact the management is ‘working with what they have’.
Things have to get better, and the fact the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership has been cut as drastically as the fact that the second-placed team could be within a win of going into first in a few weeks is damning, to say the least.
