Brendan Rodgers refused to answer a question about the board matching his own ambition for the club after the manager spoke out against Celtic’s frustrating summer in the transfer window.
The Irishman gave his thoughts before the AEK game about losing out on John McGinn and his frustration seemed visible and deliberate when he bemoaned that deals need to be done.
Asked at today’s press conference if the board backed his ambition – the manager side swiped the question instead of giving the answer most Celtic fans would like to hear.

Brendan Rodgers is very straight to the point but also very fair. If he thought the board were backing his ambition then he would have said so.
It’s worrying the manager felt like he couldn’t answer the question or is using the media to strongarm the board into being more pro-active on transfers.
Id this Celtic board alienating the best Celtic manager we’ve had in years?
