Rodgers Receives Major Boost Ahead of Champions League Qualifiers

BRENDAN RODGERS has received a great boost ahead of next month’s Champions League qualifiers with the news Jonny Hayes should be fit and raring to go for the marathon of games in July to early August.

Hayes has been out for six months with a broken leg but his rehab as went very well and the player is in a position to start pre-season with Celtic later this month.

The Irishman will no doubt be involved in Celtic’s pre-season friendlies as he looks to get up to speed with everybody else.

Hayes has a fantastic chance to make a proper breakthrough into Brendan Rodgers’ squad this summers. With Patrick Roberts heading back to City and Musonda leaving early, it has opened up the field for Hayes, Christie and Morgan.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out, Jonny has yet to make a real impact at the club and will be determined to do so this season.

He certainly can add something different to the side.
