Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has poked fun at supporters chanting his name post-match against Kilmarnock this evening, after sealing the Scottish Premiership title.
Rodgers, who at times has faced mixed responses from supporters, found himself unanimously cheered after masterminding his third Scottish Premiership title as a manager.
Rodgers said: [Clyde 1 Superscoreboard], “It felt really good. I thought they’d forgot the name!”
The Irishman’s departure, first time round, has certainly taken some time to shake off, especially considering the manner in which he left.
However, in winning the league title, he has certainly cooled any heat he had from a small number of supporters.
Rodgers’ managerial ability has been incredibly questioned at times this season by the Scottish media, despite returning to Scotland as a better manager, having won the FA Cup and Community Shield with Leicester City in England.
He will look to seal a domestic double against Rangers on May 25th in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden, in what would be an incredible achievement in his first season back at the club.
