BRENDAN RODGERS has given Celtic fans some welcome news for the weekend with the Irishman saying he’s ‘hopeful’ Tom Rogic will be available for the semi-final.
Tom is a big game player for Celtic and it would be another major blow after already ruling out Scott Brown and Leigh Griffiths if the Aussie star couldn’t play.
Cristian Gamboa and Jozo Simunovic still remain major doubts with both of them heading for scans this afternoon to see the extent of their injuries picked up in Germany.
🗣️ BR on injuries: "@SimunovicJozo and @Cris_GamboaCR will go for scans today so we will get a better assessment of them. We're hopeful @Tom_Rogic will be ready for Sunday." #BetfredCup

Both players didn’t finish the 90 minutes in Leipzig as the team went down to a disappointing 2-0 defeat.
If Jozo is out and with Boyata suspended then it will fall on Jack Hendry to come in and deputise again.
In such a big game we may have a youngster low on confidence as well as a defender in Benkovic who is not 100% fit.
It’s going to be interesting at Murrayfield. It’s up to Celtic to set the pace early on.
