Brendan Rodgers spoke of the difference between playing at Hampden compared to other pitches across the country.
Celtic delivered one of their best performances of the season in a sensational 6-0 victory over Aberdeen, with the Dons entering the match in superb form, having won 15 out of 16 domestic games since the start of the season, along with one draw against Celtic a fortnight ago.
Rodgers said (BBC Sport), “An outstanding team performance. You come up against a team that has been so, so good. We knew it would be a challenge. We had to bring our A-game. And the players did that, in particular during the second half.
“We were ruthless. We worked the ball really well to create the space and made good runs. Lots of really good moments.
“It’s a beautiful pitch here at Hampden. It’s perfect for the football we want to play.”

Given the fact that Rodgers is unbeaten at Hampden with his Celtic team, he certainly knows how to manage games at the national team stadium.
With every one of these matches being either a cup semi-final or final, it makes the achievement even more incredible.
