Rodgers Not Messing Around: Confirmed Celtic Starting XI For Tynecastle

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named his starting eleven to face Hearts at Tynecastle this afternoon, which is one of few surprises.

In goal, Joe Hart continues. Alistair Johnston plays at right-back while Liam Scales continues on a centre-half after an outstanding run of form.

Partnering the Irishman at the heart of the defence is Cameron Carter-Vickers, the American internationalist making his second start after returning from injury. Completing the backline is Greg Taylor, who unsurprisingly gets the nod at left-back.

Callum McGregor captains the champions in the middle of the park. Playing alongside him is Reo Hatate and September’s Scottish Premiership Player of the Month, Matt O’Riley.

In attack, Daizen Maeda banishes any fears over injury as he begins along with his fellow countryman Kyogo. Luis Palma, who has been in a rich vein of form lately, makes the grade too, starting for the Hoops for only the third time.

On the Celtic bench, there are places for the likes of Anthony Ralston, Paulo Bernardo, Nat Phillips, Tomoki Iwata, Oh, Yang, and David Turnbull.

Kick-off is fast approaching with the match getting underway at 2.15 pm.
