Rodgers Massive Celtic Injury Boost

We are all still trying to get our heads around injuries to CCV and Maik Nawrocki that will keep them out of action for around eight weeks.

However, there is some better news on the injury front.

Rodgers speaking to Sky Sports that Alistair Johnston is fit and available for the weekend against St Johnstone. The Canadian is yet to kick a ball under Brendan Rodgers after picking up an injury before pre-season. Johnston will be a welcome addition to the team.

Oh

Mikey Johnston will resume training in a week, as will South Korean striker Oh. MJ has been out since pre-season, and Oh has been struggling with an injury since the beginning of the season.

Japanese bhoys Reo Hatate and Kobayashi will return immediately after the international break. Kobayashi will be cursing his luck that he’s out injured while the club’s first-team defenders are missing.

It means Celtic won’t have CCV, Nawrocki or Hatate for the trip to Ibrox. Celtic are certainly going to be up against it.

Celtic take on St Johnstone on Saturday at Celtic Park and then will prepare for their away tie at Ibrox. Fingers crossed by then Celtic have called for some transfer reinforcements.
