CELTIC and Brendan Rodgers look to have acquired their right back target ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.
The Celtic manager who is desperate to land players before the deadline in order to bolster his squad going forward has reportedly singled out Moritz Bauer as his number one choice.
Bauer, 26, was signed in January by Stoke City for a fee of around £6million and recently signed a new long-term deal with the club.
However, according to SportsMail Celtic want to try and bring the right back in and haven’t been given an outright ‘no’ in the pursuit of the player.
It still seems like a long shot for a guy Stoke have invested so much in and have recently signed up to a new deal.
There are three players fighting it out for the right-back spot at the moment for The Potters and Celtic are hoping that with significant back up in that position, Stoke may be receptive to a deal.
