Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers made a massively significant statement regarding the January transfer window in his post-match interview this afternoon.
Rodgers revealed just how busy he hopes the club will be over the next month, with some huge fixtures during that time against the likes of Rangers, Young Boys, and Aston Villa.
He said: (BBC Sport), “We need more. We need to. It’s not just for now; it’s for our future, so we’ll always look to add to our attacking intent. I think, especially, January always gives you that chance to do that if there are players available. I always think being able to add goal threats to the team is important.
“We did it last January—Adam and Nicolas came in last January and made a big difference for us. Especially Adam, at that time, he was a real catalyst for us. So, I always think adding goals, adding creativity, that’s something that hopefully we’ll be able to do in January.
“We just want good players. A good player might be a million pounds, they might be two million, or they might be six or seven. So yeah, the support is there to get the right player. It’s not just about getting a really expensive one.
“But yeah, we’re all in sync, we all know what our plan is, and if we can do that, it will be great, and that will be a huge boost for the squad.”

It’s certainly the comments that supporters would have been desperate to hear from Rodgers, who is clearly happy with the players he currently has but wants even more to take this team up another gear.
With a hugely successful previous two transfer windows, it’s exciting to see exactly what players the Irishman will bring in January, with positions like left-back, striker, and out wide likely to be addressed.
It could see Celtic’s push for a domestic treble and European knockout stages really taking off after what has already been an incredible first four months of the season.
