Rodgers Gets It Horribly Wrong at Ibrox

BRENDAN RODGERS put out a side he thought could win the game and got it painfully wrong on the day.

With some key players out and not wanting to risk Edouard and Tierney before a three and a half week break commences all contributed to a defeat on the day.

Celtic were second all over the park, Johnston playing up front as the lone striker another decision which was terribly wrong.

Injuries to Lustig and Benkovic meant Rodgers could not call on BOTH Kieran Tierney and Odsonne Edouard nearer the end of the game.

The Bhoys were lucky just to be beaten 1-0 in the end up.

A winter break now commences where Celtic and the Ibrox club are level on points in the league but Celtic having that all important game in hand.

Nothing went Celtic’s way on the day and in one of their very few attacks, their goal chopped off for being marginally and I mean marginally offside.

Celtic now have to lick their self inflicted wounds and come back in January to assert their dominance.
