Rodgers Eyes Semi Final Spot

After tasting success in the League cup in November, the Celtic manager is now setting his sight on the Scottish cup semi final as St Mirren prepare to visit.

The Irishman who could bag a famous treble should he succeed in the final cup competition of the season is focused on the task at hand and isn’t getting overawed by the prospect of making more history.

“For us, the focus is very much on ourselves. We will prepare exactly the same. We want to progress into the semi-finals.” said Rodgers.

He refused to believe that St Mirren were just there to make up the numbers on Sunday, pointing out the Paisley club have earned the right to be in the quarter finals.

“They have had a couple of good results of late, beating Hibs during the week, they will come on Sunday and look to give their all.”

The manager and players may not be talking about a potential treble but the chat among the fans is certainly gathering excitement.
