BRENDAN RODGERS has given his biggest hint yet he is ready to give up on Cristian Gamboa after his Austria pre-season surprise.

It came to light yesterday evening that Celtic have taken Moses Odubajo on trial with the player’s Hull contract up at the end of this month.

Moses, 24, favours position is right back which is currently occupied by Mikael Lustig.

Cristian Gamboa was brought in by Rodgers to give the Swede competition for the fullback position, but the Irishman has been reluctant to use the Costa Rica international.

With the news he’s looking at a new fullback during pre-season, it surely spells the end of Gamboa’s time at Celtic.

There is no guarantee Celtic will take the interest in Moses any further but the very fact they’re looking at that position tells you everything you need to know.

Gamboa was one of Rodgers first signings when he came to a Celtic but his days at the club certainly look numbered.
