CELTIC B ran out 2-0 winners in Rome on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Italian side Lazio to pick up the first points of their UEFA youth league campaign.

Rocco Vata is drawing significant attention from Italian Serie A clubs following his impressive performances in the UEFA Youth League and his recent senior debut.
The 18-year-old winger, currently in the final year of his contract with Celtic, is becoming a sought-after player in European football circles.
Vata, who also holds a cap for the Republic of Ireland under-21 team, caught the eye of Inter Milan during Celtic’s UEFA Youth League victory over Lazio. The Italian giants are the latest to express interest in the young talent, with plans to potentially sign him and initially loan him out.
Moreover, Torino, another Serie A club, has been a long-term admirer of Vata. However, they tried and failed to sign him in the last transfer window. Frosinone has also joined the list of Italian clubs monitoring Vata, having watched him score in a Premier League Cup match against Brighton.
Vata’s contract with Celtic is set to expire in the summer. This could lead to a scenario where he might be signed for a relatively modest fee of around £350,000 in training compensation, making him an attractive option for clubs looking to invest in young talent.
