The 18-year-old star, widely seen as one of Celtic’s most promising future prospects, has been thrust into the limelight in recent months, prompting speculation about a possible move.
Vata started making a name for himself during the second half of last season, breaking into the Celtic match day squads under Ange Postecoglou. His debut at senior level was marked with acclaim, as he demonstrated his robust skills and potential on the pitch. The player also shone brightly with the B side during the last season.
Amidst the mounting interest in Vata, many Celtic fans are hopeful that the club, under Brendan Rodgers’ leadership, will secure the young talent on a long-term contract. Fans are eager to see more of Vata in the first team in the upcoming season, as he has proved himself capable of competing at a high level.
However, Vata’s future at Celtic remains uncertain as his current contract is due to expire in a year. It is critical for Celtic to secure a new contract with Vata if they wish to retain their bright prospect. Failure to do so may risk him moving to another club, which would be a considerable loss for Celtic.
Adding a new twist to the Vata rumours, he has recently signed with CAA Base, a well-established football agency.
Hopefully, Celtic do make an attempt to keep the player at the club for the foreseeable future, with the player eyeing to continue making first-team squads, and getting some regular minutes on the pitch.
