Tonight, Sky Sports are reporting Robert Snodgrass to Celtic is a no go UNLESS there is a significant loan fee paid or a permanent deal is reached.
News broke during the Celtic vs St Johnstone game on Sunday that the Scottish Champions had made an approach to sign the Celtic fan on a season long loan. However, now Sky Sports Journo, Anthony Joseph, has been told by sources at West Ham, there’s no deal in place at the moment and he wouldn’t be going easily.
There has been much debate online whether Robert would improve our squad but there’s no danger of Celtic going above and beyond for a deal. It would have to suit the club and the noises from West Ham and resistance could be enough for Peter Lawwell to bow out.
Snodgrass could take the approach Shane Duffy did with Brighton, we’ll likely know by this time tomorrow if a deal can be done. The window slams shut tomorrow night.
