Robbie Neilson has tried to deflect blame for his side’s very poor performance on Sunday afternoon by blaming the referee.

Celtic won 2-0 in what was very gritty afternoon where only one side turned up to play football.

Robbie tried to somehow blame the referee for his side’s lack of discipline which would eventually see two of his men get their marching orders late on.

Instead of conceding his side offered nothing on the day, he has turned it on Kevin Clancy.

Using the number of fouls committed by both sides on the day as proof his side were unjustly treated is beyond the pale and quite frankly embarrassing.

Hearts failed to register a shot on target on Sunday afternoon against Celtic. In contrast, Celtic we’re denied a few top attacking opportunities by an eager linesman who certainly got one major call wrong on the day.

The Hoops didn’t play their best but they still brought more to the table than their opponents who can dress it up anyway they like, but the fact is, they were a joke.
