Former Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney completed his loan move from Arsenal to La Liga side Real Sociedad on Sunday evening.
The Scotland international fell out of favour in North London and was linked with a return to Parkhead, but nothing ever materialised.
Tierney will now spend the season in Spain’s Basque region, and after the move was confirmed, many wished him well. The likes of Kevin Bridges and Andy Robertson gave the defender messages of support along with Rob Holding.
The Englishman’s message was perhaps the most intriguing. On his Instagram story, Holding posted a picture of himself and Tierney and wrote ‘All the best this season to the bhoy’, in a subtle nod to Celtic:

The 27-year-old is clearly clued up on the Scottish champions. He and Tierney did have a good friendship down South, but rather interestingly, Holding was linked with Celtic earlier this summer.
With renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirming that he is set to depart Arsenal within the next few days, this could be the ideal time for the Bhoys to make a move for Holding, if their initial interest was genuine.
Given the champions’ defensive woes and the injuries to key players like Carter-Vickers and Nawrocki, the 27-year-old could prove to be a crucial addition. Whether on loan or as a permanent transfer, he could provide the kind of defensive stability Brendan Rodgers is looking for.
