Jonathan Afolabi got on the scoresheet for Celtic in their reserve cup win against Morton on Tuesday and the player is delighted to get his Celtic career underway.
The former Southampton man joined up with the club in the summer hoping to make an impression early on to give Neil Lennon plenty to think about. A goal and assist work give the Irishman food for thought going forward.
Jonathan was playing with some of the youth academy’s top talent. Armstrong Oko-Flex getting among the goals while a returning Karamoko Dembele also getting on the scoresheet. Cameron Harper scores Celtic’s third on the day before Karamoko came on.
Four goals from four different goal scorers will be pleasing for the youth setup. Afolabi took to social media to celebrate.
