Revealed: Kyogo and Maeda’s Celtic Chat

DAIZEN MAEDA’S announcement came as a welcome surprise on Friday. The Japanese attacker is already in Glasgow after reuniting with his former boss.

With the announcement of the J-League trio, they will join Kyogo who hit the ground running after signing for Celtic in the summer transfer window.

Maeda has revealed that Kyogo played a part in bringing him to Scotland. While on international duty, the pair discussed Celtic with Kyogo talking up life in Scotland.

Kyogo has been playing really well, and I have to do even better to be successful. I will try my best.

“When I met him at the international team, I was asking him about Celtic and he was telling me lots of good things about Celtic so I am really looking forward to it.

Kyogo is doing very well and in the past there was Shunsuke Nakamura, so of course there is a lot of interest in Japan.I hope there will be more support in Japan now.” [Celtic TV]

Kyogo came to a country that he did not speak the language of, in the middle of his season in Japan. He has been impressive and has opened a new market for Celtic to shop in and the hoops are taking advantage of it.

Ange has now got his men and will be looking for them to follow in Kyogo’s footsteps and push for the league title when the season resumes.
