Revealed: Celtic’s Potential Champions League Opponents For 2023/24

Celtic are set to play in the Champions League for the second season running as Ange Postecoglou looks to have a second crack at Europe’s premier club competition.

If the Bhoys win the Scottish Premiership, which has looked growingly likely as the weeks have transpired, they will automatically qualify for the group stage of the Champions League.

Qualifiers seem to be a thing of the past now for the Bhoys which is vastly positive and it means speculation over who the Celts can play in the group stage can begin much earlier.

On Twitter, account @swissfootdata has made a prediction of what the Champions League group stage pots could look like for 2023/24:

Here, Celtic are in Pot 4. This is not the most ideal scenario however in the past, the Bhoys have proved they can compete when drafted in there.

Across the draw, as is always the case, there are some tremendous and well known teams who it would be great to see at Parkhead.

For example Celtic fans of recent generations have never seen Borussia Dortmund in Glasgow’s east end not have they been able to see Arsenal or Napoli take on their heroes.

There are also some familiar foes across the pots such as Lazio, Real Madrid, Barcelona and RB Salzburg.

Any combination of teams from Pots 1 to 3 would make for an intriguing draw for Celtic with European progress a key aim for the 2023/24 for Postecoglou and his men.
