CELTIC had to submit their squad for the Europa League group stage by Tuesday night. The squad is now locked in and will not be able to be altered until after the group stage is complete IF Celtic make it through to the knockout round.
So what have we noticed from the squad?
- New Celtic Trio Jeremie Frimpong, Lee O’Connor and Jonathan Afalobi have NOT made the squad.
- Fraser Forster, Greg Taylor, Moritz Bauer and Mohamed Elyounoussi have all been added.
- Bain and Gordon keep their places and have not been bumped to accommodate Forster.
- Fringe players Eboue Kouassi, Jack Hendry and Daniel Arzani have not made the list.
Celtic have a tough group but one they can be very competitive in if they are on their game.
They should have no fear with any of these teams coming to Celtic Park. Picking up points on the road will hopefully be the biggest challenge and there’s no reason why we can’t sneak a few points.
