DEDRYCK BOYATA looks to have played his last game for the club with the Belgium star out injured and his contract finishing in June.
However, as he waits out his contract from the sidelines he reserved special praise for one of his team-mates after Celtic secured 8-in-a-row.
Taking to Instagram the defender posted an image of Mikael Lustig with the tagline ‘Respect to this guy’.
Mikael got the all-important first goal for Celtic yesterday to settle the nerves before Jozo Simunovic and Odsonne Edouard finished it off in the second half. The right back scoring a fantastic diving header after an incredible ball over the top by Callum McGregor – it was a great moment.
Like Boyata, Lustig’s contract runs out at the end of the season but the Swede has always said he wants to stay at the club. Celtic have the option to pick his contract up for another year but we won’t know until the end of the season if that will be triggered.
