Celtic will face the European champions this season in the group stage of the Champions League.
The Spanish giants are overwhelming favourites to win the group between themselves, Celtic, Leipzig and Shakhtar.
They are the ultimate ‘glamour tie’ Celtic could’ve hoped for and our captain Callum McGregor fancied heading to the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid will have no fears over what’s ahead but Carlo Ancelotti did provide a word of caution over the group and revealed if they’re not on it, Celtic or Leipzig could cause a shock in the way Sheriff did last season.

As quoted by Football Scotland, the Real Madrid boss said: “It’s a different group because in two months we played all the games and last year, in the simplest game against the Sheriff -at the Bernabeu- we lost it.
Celtic have taken many big scalps at Celtic park over the years, but there won’t be many fans believing we can turn over the European champions either home or away.
The Hoops support know just how tough an ask it’s going to be. What we want to see is a team putting in 110% and leaving it all out there on the night. Whatever will be, will be.
There’s a growing consensus since the draw that Real Madrid will run away with the group and the other three teams will scrap it out for second and third place. There’s no reason why Celtic shouldn’t be looking at the other four ties as winnable.
