Celtic are reportedly edging closer to appointing former Australian National team boss Ange Postecoglou as talks continue to progress.
As reported by Sky Sports, the club supposedly hope to complete a deal for Postecoglou by the middle of next week after making their move for the Greek-born boss.
Several other reports have also suggested this is the case, with some also saying that the 55-year old will be given the chance to bring his own backroom staff to the club.
At the start of last week, there wouldn’t be many who expected us to be in this situation but here we find ourselves.
With talks breaking down between the club and long-term target Eddie Howe, the board moved to attempt the appointment of Postecoglou, which now looks closer to becoming a reality.
At the least, it will put to an end our months of waiting for a new boss and the rebuild can finally begin.
Allow, there is likely to be a slight delay with Postecoglou having to self isolate when he heads for Scotland after leaving Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos.
