Reports: Striker Target Wants Long-Term £13kpw Celtic Deal

Striker target Charlie Wyke is reportedly looking for a long-term deal when signing for Celtic.

The Sunderland frontman has been mentioned several times in the media, with it even being suggested he has held multiple talks with the hierarchy at the club.

Now, according to Football Insider, he is looking to sign a long-term four-year deal at the club this summer. The report also states that he will be looking to double his wage in Glasgow.

Salary sport has Wyke’s Sunderland wage sitting at £6.4kpw.

Whilst Wyke will, of course, be looking out for his own interests as a player, a four-year deal seems like a bit much to be handing out.

At the age of 28 and turning 29 later this year, giving him a deal until 2025 could prove to be a huge risk.

The is no doubting that his numbers in front of goal from last season were impressive, but whenever you hear about Wyke from other fans, they continue to express their concern.
