The international star who hails from Sweden but plays for Montenegro has been looking for a way out of Rubin Kazan and Russia this summer and Celtic have been keeping a close eye on things.

The Russian club splashed £6m on Sead but don’t expect to get all of their money back just a year on after his transfer.

Celtic have been very careful in the latter part of the window and have remained active in case any of their discussed targets did become available later in the day.

After signing players very early in the summer, the club has had the luxury of waiting to see what could potentially transpire.

Celtic are in a great position and if the bring in the 23-year-old, it’s yet more attacking options for Ange as he looks to go on the front foot in Europe.
