REPORTS: £14million Bid Incoming – Will Celtic Board Be Tempted to Cash In?

According to French newspaper l’Equipe, Celtic’s resolve is about to be tested by Marseille as the French club look to buy Parkhead frontman Moussa Dembele.

It has been reported that the French side has been lying in wait until the English window closed shut before preparing a bid for the Celtic star.

The dame reports believe Marseille will lodge a £14million bid to land Moussa – a bid much lower than Celtic were willing to even entertain last year.

If Marseille are genuinely interested in the striker’s services they will have to bring more money to the table.

If the French club gets near Celtic’s evaluation of the player then it would not surprise fans in the slightest to see the board cash in on Moussa to make up the shortfall for not making the Champions League.

Moussa has two-years left to run on his deal, which means if he doesn’t sign a contract extension then Celtic will not be in full control of the price tag they get for him next summer.

Nobody wants to see Moussa leave but it stands to reason there is big interest in the talisman.

Putting all other things aside, would Celtic be in a position to say no to a £25million bid?
