Reports: Former Player In Shock Link To CEO Role

Former Celtic player Ramon Vega has reportedly contacted the club over the availability of the CEO position with the Hoops.

According to Sun Sport, Vega, who spent time with the club as a player in the 2000/01 season, has thrown his name in the hat to replace Dom McKay after his surprise exit.

The report suggests that 50-year olds representatives have supposedly contacted the club around the vacancy and is now hoping he gets the opportunity to prove he is the man for the job.

After football, Vega moved into the business side of things, so it appears that he does have some sort of relative experience in this area.

Currently, Michael Nicholson is in the role of acting CEO, having replaced McKay when he left the role after just 72 days in charge, since replacing the outgoing Peter Lawwell.

You would imagine the club will be looking to make a swift replacement, in a crucial role behind the scenes as the rebuild continues on and off the park.
