Celtic are reportedly keeping tabs on Swiss League striker Jean-Pierre Nsame, who has played his football at Young Boys for the last four years.
According to reports from Teamtalk, the Hoops are targeting the Cameroon international who has an impressing scoring record for the Swiss side, with 25 goals in 38 appearances this season.
At this stage, with the source that is providing these reports, it is unknown how reliable this is.
In a sense though, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to hear that Celtic are monitoring the 27-year old as a possible transfer target in the summer.
The striker position is one that will need a lot of work from the recruitment side of things with Patryk Klimala having already left the club and Odsonne Edouard likely to follow in the coming months.
That would leave Leigh Griffiths and Albian Ajeti as the current first-team strikers but there are even question marks surrounding their future at the club going into the summer.
Ideally, the recruitment side of things would be well under way with how much is needing to be done in the next transfer window. But with no manager in place, that once again leaves uncertainty around that process at the minute.
